BRUSH, BRUSH, BRUSH

Our kids think that brushing their teeth is the funnest thing in the world!

They were in desperate need of new tooth brushes, so this past week we got them some new ones. They are so cute! They are Crayola crayons, Kyles is blue, and Kenzie's is pink. They are my favorite little kid toothbrushes that we have gotten them so far because they have little suction cups on the bottom, so they will just stand up on the counter all by themselves!

Well, Kyle went into the bathroom after brushing his teeth, and I told him that I would be right there to help him clean his toothbrush as soon as I got Kenzie out of her highchair.

When I got in there, he had already decided to clean it by himself......... in the toilet.

I guess we will be buying another new toothbrush now. (sigh)

DRESS UP

This morning Kyle was cold so he wrapped himself in a blanket. He then came up to me, held out his hand to shake mine, and said "Hi Mom, my name is JESUS, what is your name?" It was adorable! But to be quite honest with you, it kind of took me by surprise. I wonder if they looked at pictures of JESUS in Sunbeems yesterday. At least I know that is is listening and that he does know who JESUS is!

Oh, and I almost forgot to say that he calls the blanket his "JESUS clothes" :)

WE LOVE DUCK TAPE!

Mackenzie has recently decided that it is fun to take her diaper off. It is only mildly annoying, I mean, I have gone through this stage with Kyle before, so it's not really anything new.

Well, I was telling my mom about it the other day, and she said "Duck Tape"

Today was the first time Kenzie has tried it again since that conversation with my mom, so we tried it. First we tried just putting the tape over the Velcro, but she ripped it off before we had even put the tape on the other side of the diaper. We ended up having to put the tape all the way around the diaper. It wasn't very fashionable, but she left it on. We haven't had to tape any more diapers after this one so maybe she is over it. Yeah I know she's probably not, but I can wish cant I?

"CAN I PICK YOUR NOSE?"

This is the conversation that took place last night while I was fixing dinner.


Kyle: Daddy can I pick your nose?

Aaron: No you can't pick my nose.

I then saw Kyle walk over and pick up the box of baby wipes.

Me: I think he means that he wants you to clean his nose.

Aaron: Oh, okay buddy come here.

Kyle then got his nose cleaned, and he went off to play. :)

KYLE'S NEW FAVORITE ACCESSORY :)

This morning when Kyle woke up, he immediately tried to put his church clothes back on from yesterday.

I fianally talked him into wearing some play clothes, but he HAD to wear his tie! So, I cliped his tie to his T shirt, and he wore it for HOURS! It would occasionally come off while he was playing, and he would start crying because it was "broken" So I would quickly help him clip it bac k on, and all would be right with the world again :)

One time when it came off, I decided to try to put it way, but Kyle started screaming because he wanted to wear his tie, so we put it back on yet again! I think I might have to buy him some more ties!

LAUNDRY DAY

Being a stay at hme mommy of two rambunctious kids who are both under the age of five can really keep me on my toes sometimes. There are some days that it is just impossable to find time to get things done.

TODAY HAS BEEN ONE OF THOSE DAYS!

The kids were just constantly getting into everything, and I am not trying to be disgusting or anything, but I really had to use the restroom! So, I waited, and waited, hoping for an opprotunity to be able to step out of the room for a minute, but fianally, I just had to go! :)

When I came back into the living room, THIS is what I found :)

I was so surprised to see him in the washer, that I just couldn't help but laugh! I then took this picture, and got him down.

I then learned how he had gotten there. As soon as my back was turned, he pulled Kenzie's highchair over, and just climbed up.

I thought about duck taping the thing closed, but that won't work, because he's smart! He knows how to just pick at it until he can rip it off! So, I am just going to try to find something really heavy that he can't lift so that the lid won't open. I thought about keeping our 72 hour kit there, but it might bee too heavy. I don't know if I can even lift it that high, and I will still have to be able to do the laundry, so we will think of something! :)

OOPS?! :)

Lately they have been working in our neighborhood putting a new sealing coat on the streets. Last Thursday was our turn. Kyle loves big turcks, so while they were working on the street, I opened the blinds so that the kids could watch the people working outside.

The street looked so nice when they were done! Or at least I thought theey were done.

A little while later, another truck came down the street spraying tons of what looked like water all the way down the street. Then, about twenty minutes later, it came back and did it again.

The street ended up looking like this when they were done:

Aaron says it looks like a skunk ha ha I never thought of it like that, but It kinda does. So, today we had to park our cars out on another street again, and they did it all over again. We had to go run a couple of erinds before Aaron went to work, and when we walked around the corner to the car the street had been blocked off, but they hadn't done anything yet. However, when we got back home, they had finished our half of the street, and were working on the other half.

This is a picture of the same place that I showed you before in the picture of how bad it looked. Now it looks lots better huh?

Now I just hope that they keep it that way!

LOST & FOUND

Sometime in April, around the time of my brother's wedding, Aaron misplaced his keys. We tore our house apart looking for them. However, they were nowhere to be found! So, luckily, my keys were pretty much a duplicate of Aaron's keys, and since I don't really go anywhere without him, I just let him use mine.
Then today, Aaron walked over to the couch, and noticed that one of the couch cussons was kind of crooked and sticking off of the couch a little bit. When he got closer, he looked down, and there they were! They had not been there before because Kyle's new favorite pastime is to pull to cussons off and play with them. I have seen the couch without the cussons lots of time, and they were NOT there before! The only thing I can guess is that one of the kids found them somewhere, and was playing with them, and put them there recently. However they got there, we are both glad to have our own keys back!

And then a little later in the morning, we had to stop by the pharmacy to pick up some perscriptions. When we got back out to the car, we noticed that Kenzie's sippy cup was missing. We just got her off the bottle yesterday, and she only has 2 sippy cups right now, so we can NOT afford to lose one! So, Aaron finished putting the kids into the car, and I ran back into the store. I followed the same path we had taken before,, and NO SIPPY CUP! Then I saw a couple of workers standing near the pharmacy. Lickily, They had seen us drop it, but had not been able to catch up to us. She had saved it in the cart of stuff that she was putting on the shelves in hopes that we would come back for it! What luck! We found two things today!!!

BIG SMILES

Kenzie has nad a little bit of a cold lately and has not been sleeping well. A couple of nights ago, she woke up with a very slight feaver and a sor throat. We hadn't gone to bed yet, so after giving her some Tylonol, I brought her out to the living room and rocked her for a while. After a few minutes, the medicine started to kick in, and she imediately perked up, and she even had she had some big smiles for Mommy and Daddy!

DO NOT READ THE REST OF THIS POST UNTIL YOU HAVE READ UNCLE DAVID TO THE RESCUE !!!

So, Just after I started writing this post, my sister Kimber called to tell me that she had just heard what David had done to help me. I had no sooner started talking to her when I heard "help help I'm stuck" I looked over, and sure enough, Kyle was stuck in the chair again. I imediately got off the phone with a promise to call Kimber back so she would know that Kyle was OK! Luckily, David had showed me how to get Kyle out of the chair, so I went to work. It took a couple of minutes, but I GOT HIM OUT!!! (thank goodness!!!) I swear I am going to have grey hair soon!

UNCLE DAVID TO THE RESCUE

Today, Kyle decided to stick his legs through the footrest on our recliner........ again. He has done this a couple of times before, but he has always done it when Daddy was home, and Daddy has always been able to get him out of the chair.

Well today, he decided to do this after Daddy had already gone to work for the day. I tried and tried, but I just could not get the poor kid out! So, I called my brother in law David's celphone in hopes that he might be home. Luckily he was, and said that he would be right over. I then called me mom and explained the situation and she told me that if David couldn't get him out to call her back, and she would send some paremedics over to help me get him out.
Soon David was here and tried to free Kyle's legs. They wouldn't budge. So, David tried a few things with the chair, and then instrucket me to try and pull Kyle out. I did and Kyle's legs slid right out of the chair. YAY!!! David then showed me what to do if Kyle decides to do this again when Daddy is at work.
Being a mommy is definately a very interesting experience! The kids always keep me on my toes, and I never know that is going to happen from day to day! I will probably end up with grey hair really soon, but I wouldn't trade a minute of this for anything!!!

WOW HE'S STRONG!

OK, I just have one thing to say today! I have truely learned just how strong our little guy is! The other day, I was sitting on the couch, and all of a sudden the whold couch was moving, I mean literaly scooting away from the wall. I looked over, and Kyle was the one moving it! He's only 2 hears old!!! And I am NOT a small girl!

Now that he has figured out that he can do it, he likes to move it all the time! You know your 2 year old kid is strong when you have to tell him to put the couch back where he found it, several times a day! I think it is kind of amazing personaly!!!
